Guinness Nigeria board to weigh Q3 results and interim dividend on 21 October

Guinness Nigeria Plc told the Nigerian Exchange on 7 October that its board will meet on Wednesday, 21 October.

The board will consider the unaudited financial statements for the period to 30 September 2026, and a proposal to recommend an interim dividend. The company says the results will be uploaded by 22 October.

Insiders are in a closed period that began on 1 October and runs until 24 hours after the results are released.

The share price

According to the NGX Daily Official List, Guinness closed at ₦423.00 on 12 October, up from ₦384.80 on 9 October, a rise of about 9.9%.

Context from Q2

In July the company reported Q2 revenue of ₦142.27bn and profit after tax of ₦14.91bn, and declared an additional interim dividend of ₦7 per share. Those are earlier figures, not the numbers the board will look at on 21 October.

What to watch

  • Whether the board recommends an interim dividend, and how large it is.
  • How the period to 30 September compares with the Q2 run-rate.
