New on Selar: a WhatsApp Order Bot template for Nigerian small businesses
A ready-to-deploy Cloudflare Workers template that takes WhatsApp orders, totals them in naira, collects bank-transfer receipts and alerts the owner. ₦10,000 launch price (was ₦15,000).
I've put my WhatsApp order bot up on Selar as a template you can deploy for your own business.
What it does
- Customers say "hi" and get your menu.
- They reply with something like "1 x 2" and the bot works out the naira total.
- It collects their name, phone number and delivery address.
- It sends your bank details and asks for a transfer receipt (image or PDF).
- You get a WhatsApp alert for every new order and receipt, so you just confirm payment and deliver.
It runs on Cloudflare Workers with a D1 database, so there's no server to rent, and small volumes fit inside Cloudflare's free plan. Your menu, prices, business name and bank details live in one config file.
Who it's for
Nigerian small businesses that sell on WhatsApp (food, skincare, fashion, provisions, perfumes), and developers or freelancers who set up WhatsApp ordering for clients.
What you get
Full source code, the database schema, an offline test script and a beginner setup guide covering the Meta app, WhatsApp number, permanent token, Cloudflare deployment and testing. Single-business licence.
What you need
A computer with Node.js 18+, a Meta developer account and Business portfolio, a phone number not already on the WhatsApp app, and a free Cloudflare account. Meta may charge for some WhatsApp conversations; check Meta's pricing page.
Launch price: ₦10,000 (was ₦15,000). Get it on Selar.
